ABOUT

Military Appreciation Day

The University of North Carolina football team will host the University of Virginia on November 2, 2019 for the Military Appreciation Day game. Each year, the MAD game serves to honor and recognize military service members throughout the day.

This year, there will be an Air Force flyover consisting of F-18 combat jets. Current service members and veterans are encouraged to join cadets on the field for the unveiling of the Colors for the National Anthem. Prior to the game, UNC Army ROTC will host an alumni tailgate with food and beverages so that current cadets can network and foster a potential mentorship.
